Starting in April 2025, employers who have paid less than £45,000 in Class 1 National Insurance, excluding reductions such as the employment allowance, will be eligible to claim 8.5% compensation on statutory payments like Statutory Maternity Pay. This is a significant increase from the current 3%, raising the total compensation from 103% to 108.5%.
